Marjorie Lentz, age 96, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2024. Marjorie was born on August 19, 1928 in Mason, Michigan to parents Melvin and Mabel Bates. Marjorie worked for many years as a Cafeteria Worker at San Jose Elementary School, where she was loved by the students. Marjorie also was a wonderful wife and mother, she married the love of her life Allen Lentz and they had two sons Mike and Keith, and a daughter, Patrica. When she wasn't working or spending quality time with her family, she was a very active member of the Order of the Eastern Star Dunedin Chapter. After spending many years in Florida, Marjorie would move to North Carolina in 2006, to live with her daughter. She will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband Allen Lentz, father Melvin, mother Mabel Bates, and daughter Patrica Wade.
She is survived by her sons Mike (Connie) Lentz and Keith (Eva) Lentz, grandchildren Aaron Eckhardt and Kevin ( Mary) Eckhardt, great-grandchildren Henry and Emily, and nieces Sharon and Kathy, and nephew Ken to name a few.
A committal service will be soon announced at a later date.
