

Mark Quentin Lapham, 72, of Safety Harbor, FL., passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026. He was born on August 30, 1953 to Dale and Ruth Lapham in Howell, MI. He was the devoted husband of Robin, with whom he shared 51 years of marriage. He was a loving father to their children, Katie (Tony) Sperlich, Keeley (Cory) Harris, and Kris (Emily) Lapham, a cherished grandfather (Poppy) to his 7 grandchildren, and a treasured brother, uncle, and friend.
Mark moved to Clearwater Beach at the age of 5 and attended South ward Elementary, Kennedy Middle School, and graduated from Clearwater High School in 1971. He then enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. Upon completion of his service, he returned to Clearwater where he began his career in Motel Management back on the beach. He was a member of the Clearwater Inn-Keeper's Association and served on the Board of Governors of the Greater Clearwater Chamber of Commerce. Once he left motel management, he completed his bachelor's degree at USF, which allowed him to begin a new career in Computer Technology at Baycare Health System, from which he retired in 2019.
Those who knew him will remember him for his love of sailing & surfing, his fascination with history, his cheerful spirit & smile, and his quirky sense of humor. He enjoyed the adventures of travel and all things Florida.
A memorial will be held on July 25th, 1:00 p.m., at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home in Clearwater.
