Mary A. Bowen
August 12, 1939 – September 5, 2019
Mary Agnes Bowen, age 80 went home to take her daily walks with Christ on September 5, 2019. She was born on August 12, 1939 to Floyd and Janet (Reid) Randolph in Steubenville, Ohio. Mary married LeRoy Bowen in 1975. They lived and loved their lives together in Florida until Mary lost her beloved LeRoy in 2013. Mary loved God and cherished her spiritual journey. She found comfort with her church family at the Assembly of God in Dunedin, FL. Mary not only led a simple life, she also modeled the joys of simplicity to those whom she share closeness. She was an avid walker who would collect the fallen coins all along her path. Those coins were not for her pocket because they were passed along to the donation box at church (such a quiet, meaningful yet “simple” deed of love). To many people Mary could be meek and introverted, but if you knew her, you found out she loved to smile and laugh. She had a delightful sense of humor and really enjoyed stimulating conversation. Her parents and her beloved LeRoy predecease Mary. Her brothers; Robert (Barbara) Randolph of South Carolina and John Reid of Illinois as well as cousins, nieces and nephews survive her. She is also survived by her mutually adopted children, Charles and Pamela Kohler of Palm Harbor and Ruben Triplett of Clearwater and her loving Friend and Caregiver Shelby Alessi of Dunedin. Those who loved her will sorely miss her.
