Mary was born on August 15, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Anthony Micallef and Teresa Vella Micallef. Throughout her professional life, she worked as a bank teller, a career that reflected her warm personality and dedication to helping others.
Mary found joy in many hobbies throughout her life, including ceramics, reading, watching mystery programs, completing puzzles, entertaining family and friends, and celebrating all things Christmas. She especially loved cooking and was well known for the cherished recipes she inherited from her mother and Maltese heritage, including homemade ravioli and dough, Figolli bread, and Christmas cookies. Mary had a special place in her heart for animals, and she adored her furry companions throughout the years. Her greatest joy, however, was her family. To her, her grandchildren could do no wrong, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kind heart, and beautiful smile.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and her beloved husband, Gregory Hardiman.
She is survived by her loving children, Sharon Hines, Kenneth Hardiman (Tania), and Kathleen Troche; her sister, Victoria Losee; her cherished grandchildren, AJ, Kasey, Corbin (Kyra), Marisa, and Lily; and her treasured great-granddaughter, Roma.
A service to celebrate Mary's life will be held on Saturday, June, 20th at 3:00 PM with a reception to follow at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to attend and honor her memory.
Flowers are welcome. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay in Mary's honor.
Mary's love, kindness, traditions, and unwavering devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
