Mary Jane Johns

Mary Jane (Marriott) Johns, age 86, of Clearwater, sang her way to heaven on January 27, 2022, her 48th Wedding Anniversary. She was born on November 12, 1935 in Rockdale, MD and lived in Pinellas County for 79 years. She was a graduate of St Petersburg High School and Florida State University. Mary Jane lived her life serving the Lord. Throughout Fifty years she was the Choir Director at several churches in the area. FUMC Dunedin, Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church, St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Oakhurst UMC, Faith Presbyterian Church. She was the Founding Choral Director of Clearwater Community Chorus and the Suncoast Singers.

Mary Jane was preceded in Death by her husband, Samuel C. Johns, Jr., her mother and father and 8 siblings. She is survived by her children, Chris Hughes (Anece), Clearwater, Michele Powers (Shaun), Safety Harbor, Stephen Hughes, Canberra, Australia, Allison Bradford (Preston), Julia (Richard) Johns, grandchildren, Sarah (Robbie), Davis & Graham Hughes, Trey and Emma Wolfe, Jacob Hughes, Toby Bradford (Courtney), Morgan Isard (Skye), Lindsay (Lulu) and Jameson Felderman and great grandson Jack, brother-in-law, Robert Ossian and numerous nieces and nephews

A Visitation will be held at 1pm and the Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, February 1st at The Refuge Church, 606 Alden Avenue, Clearwater, FL 33755.
