Michael Eder, 75, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026. He was born on September 10, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, to Elisabeth “Betty” Eder Lukszas and Dale Warren Eder.
Michael was a proud graduate of Gordon Technical High School. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from St. Joseph’s College and a Master of Business Administration degree in Accounting from DePaul University. He built a successful career in banking, working for Continental Bank, Republic Bank, and Anderen Bank.
Outside of his professional life, Michael enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and spending time pursuing his many interests. He had a particular passion for golfing and fishing and enjoyed learning about Civil War and Native American history. His curiosity and appreciation for history reflected his lifelong interest in understanding the people and events that shaped the past.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Elisabeth “Betty” Eder Lukszas and Dale Warren Eder, and his sister, Patricia Ann Schleuter.
He is survived by his brothers, Jeffrey D. Eder and David D. Eder, along with many nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
A service to honor and celebrate Michael’s life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
Michael will be remembered by his family and loved ones for the life he lived, the interests he pursued, and the memories he leaves behind.
