Putrow, Michael F. 56, of Tampa, passed into God’s hands on October 30, 2015. He was born in Tampa on June 7, 1959. He is survived by his mother, Carmen Mendez Putrow, and father Francis X. Putrow, as well as his son Jonathan (fiancé Mia Klein), daughter Lauren Putrow, and his fiancé Kim Taube. He is also survived by his Aunts Mary Lou Putrow and Ruth Carpenter (Joseph) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Abuela Felicia Mendez, Abuelo Armando Mendez, grandmother Nellie Putrow and grandfather Francis Putrow. He was educated in Tampa and Clearwater schools, graduating from Clearwater High School, St. Petersburg Junior College, and the University of Texas (Houston) Heart Institute. He was employed as a perfusionist, working in local hospital cardiac surgery OR’s, and for the International Heart Foundation on a team of cardiac surgeons, who saved thousands of infant children with congenital heart defects. He served in Cuba, Ecuador, Paraguay, Panama, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Iraq and Turkey. His passions included animals, plants, cooking and rooster décor. Michael loved our Lord. He was a devoted, loving son and father. He had a passionate heart, helping many souls in need. His love of his family, fellow man and animals was evident to all who knew him. A Celebration of Life for friends and family will be held at Sylvan Abby Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Rd., Clearwater on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 from 10AM-12PM, followed by a religious service at 12PM officiated by Reverend Edward Colohan, a close family friend. In honor of his love of all animals, donations in his name may be directed to SPCA Tampa Bay.
