July 27, 1984 - May 28, 2024
Mollie Ann Hair quietly passed away on May 28, 2024 in hospice, after a year long battle with breast cancer. She was 39 years old.
Mollie was born in Panama City, Florida. As a young child she loved dancing, gymnastics and going to eat ice cream with her daddy. She and her family moved to Pinellas County in 1987. Mollie attended Countryside High School where she was an excellent student and enjoyed cheerleading and debate. She got her undergrad degree at UCF in Orlando and went on to attend Barry University-Dwayne O. Andreas School Of Law in Orlando, graduating in 2012 with her law degree.
As a person and as a lawyer, Mollie was an avid supporter of the rights of the injured and the innocent, in and out of the courtroom. She would often attend public speaking events to promote and support the legal rights of those injured. Mollie took great pride in standing up for what she believed in. She was also so proud to be "best aunt ever" to her amazing niece, Zoe.
Mollie was an excellent role model for all and her friends often told her how important she had been in their lives. Until her illness, she loved going to music concerts (she was an avid "Swifty") and traveling the world. She especially loved Oia, Greece, which she said she considered to be "heaven on earth". Even through her illness, Mollie never lost her sense of humor.
Mollie is survived by her father and stepmother, Steven and Rhonda Hair of Palm Harbor, FL, her mother and stepfather, Nancy and Henry Petry Of Mebane, NC, her two sisters, Janey Hair of Lakewood Ranch, FL and Carly Hair of Palm Harbor, FL, her brother, MSgt.Ryan Hines, currently stationed in Germany, her beautiful niece, Zoe Hair, and of course, her beloved dog "JJ Bear".
She will be missed.
A memorial gathering for Mollie will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, Florida 33759.
