Nicholas Robert Hakanson, born March 14, 1995 and passed away unexpectedly on January 4, 2019. Nick was an auto mechanic at Walker Ford in Clearwater; he LOVED working on his F-150 and F-250. He was 2013 graduate of East Lake High School and a 2016 graduate of Universal Technical Institute (UTI) where he studied auto mechanics with a focus on the Ford FACT program. Growing up, Nick was a Boy Scout, starting with Troop 48 in Tarpon Springs then with Troop 26 in Palm Harbor. Nick enjoyed visiting his family who lived in PA and his friends and was very caring to all he cared about. He was starting to learn more about cooking and found it helped relieve stress. He had a lot of friends and family who loved him dearly and now have a big void in their lives.
He is survived by his Parents, Roy Hakanson of Tarpon Springs, FL, and Paula Hakanson of Clearwater, FL; Brother, Brian Hakanson of Clearwater, FL; Grandfather, Paul Anderson of Northern Cambria, PA; Aunts, Jean Anderson of St. Petersburg, FL and Joyce (Paul) Niebauer of Northern Cambria, PA; Uncle, Paul Anderson of Altoona, PA; Cousins, Amanda, Shawn, Christian and Camryn Veneskey and David, Shawna, Chloe and Evan Niebauer all of Northern Cambria, PA; Aunt, Debbie Lorigan of Olathe, KS; Cousin, Tim (Virginia) Nusbaum of Boca Raton, FL; Cousin, Robyn (Guy) Seymour of Temperance, MI. Nick is preceded in death by his Grandmother, Helen Anderson of Northern Cambria, PA; Grandmother, Martha Hakanson of Toledo, OH; Grandfather, Robert Hakanson of Toledo, OH.
Services will be held at Sylvan Abbey, 2853 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL on Tuesday, January 8th from 5-8 pm with a service at 6 pm.
