Norma Moore died on May 12, 2018 in Safety Harbor, Florida.

Norma was born on December 9, 1921 in Bloxham, FL to William Jefferson Parker and Mary Ethyl Carter. Her mother Mary passed away one year after Norma's birth and she was raised by her father and multiple siblings throughout her childhood.

During WWII in 1945 Norma met Naval Reserve Officer Ralph E. Moore while having dinner with friends near a military base in Pensacola, Florida where they made an immediate connection with one another. Several hours later drove to Georgia and were married by a Justice of the Peace within 24 hours. They remained married for almost 50 years until Ralph died February 8, 1995. They had 2 daughters Deborah and Patricia.

During their life together they lived in Washington DC, where Deborah Moore was born; Parkersburg, West Virginia where Patricia Moore was born; Orlando, Ft. Myers and Lakeland, Florida; and the Panama Canal Zone. Norma was very outgoing and never met a stranger. She could be the life of the party and made friends with everyone through her personality, warmth kindness and sense of humor. People often called her a "hoot". During her life in Panama she would often invite military people for lunch and dinner to offer them a home cooked meal and make them feel like they had a family away from home on Sundays and Holidays.

Norma loved to dance her entire life and this came natural for her; she made every move with ease and grace, it was a joy to watch her and she continued dancing into her 80's. She learned to sew and became an expert seamstress making clothes for her daughters throughout their life that rivaled the finest outfits their friends bought in stores, including school clothes, prom dresses, costumes, etc. She continued sewing for her grandchildren for holiday outfits like matching Christmas pajama's, and Halloween costumes. She loved her grandchildren dearly. She would also drop everything to rush to her daughters aid anytime they needed help through health issues, or other difficult situations.

Norma is survived by her two daughters Patricia Ann Moore Powell and Deborah Diane Moore and their spouses, three grandchildren Emily Powell, Natalie Powell, and Jessica Rose Powell, and one great granddaughter Lilliana Bisona Fomban who is Emily's daughter; all who she dearly loved.
