

She was the daughter of Velma Lawrence Hargett (Blacketer) and Albert Hargett. As a child, she, her mother, and grandmother Ola Mae MacCracken Lawrence moved to Indiana for job opportunities. Norma lived in Ingalls, Pendleton, and Northeast Indianapolis before moving to Tarpon Springs, Florida for a well deserved retirement. She returned to Indianapolis to be closer to family and spent her final years in Rose Senior Living in Carmel.
She is survived by daughter Tammy Jones Webster and husband Jeff Webster, Pendleton and son Anthony Jones and partner Tom Johnson of Indianapolis. She was very proud of her grandsons Alex Webster (wife Jessica Holsinger) of Lafayette IN, Mitchell Webster (wife Sabrina Huskins)of Noblesville, Glenn Jones and Drew Jones of Indianapolis. She was also survived by Vicki Largen (daughter-in-law), niece Rena Jones and brother-in-law George Purvis. Upon marriage to George Wright she gained three stepsons Mike, Mark, and Ronnie and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family members who preceded her in death were her mother, father, her husband George Wright and her sister Rae (Blacketer) Purvis.
She was in the Pendleton High School class of 1955 and worked at Delco Remy in Anderson until her retirement in 1990.
She loved her family, friends at Rose and following the Purdue Boilermakers. She was a big fan of “Dancing with the Stars” and Hallmark movies. You could always find her wearing her bright colors and embracing her love of butterflies.
She will be returned to Florida to be next to her beloved George. The graveside service will be on Sunday November 16 at 10 o’clock AM at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater, Florida.
