Patricia Wood Balboni passed away March 14, 2015 at the Moffitt Cancer Center while accompanied by her children, Tonya Balboni Stout and Brian Balboni. She is survived by her adoring husband, Hugh Balboni. Patricia, or “Pat,” as her many friends knew her, had four grandchildren; Morgan and Katherine Stout, daughters of Tonya and Erik Stout, and Sydney and Isabella Balboni, daughters of Brian and Julie Balboni. Patricia dedicated her life to the welfare of others through charitable organizations, including the Special Olympics, Meals on Wheels, and the Council on Aging. She was a proud member of the Daughters of the King and St. Catherine's Episcopal Women’s Guild. Through her life, Patricia used her gifts to encourage and coach young women to be confident and successful as young, professional women. She demonstrated, even later in life, you can achieve new goals as she participated in and won the title of Ms Florida ’50’s for the Beauties of America pageant system. Patricia was also an accomplished professional painter with artwork displayed in several galleries in the State of Florida. Nana, we will miss you very much. God gained a beautiful angel who will be greatly missed. I loved this woman with all my heart. But it is God's turn to spend precious time with her. Many people love her and we know for sure God has a gorgeous crown waiting for her at home. A graveside service with entombment, officiated by Rev. Randall Hehr, will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ocala, FL on Wednesday, March 18 at 11am. Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home in Clearwater, FL has been entrusted with arrangements.
