Patricia was the youngest of five. When she entered high school she followed in the footsteps of her older sisters, the Kerruish girls. Like her sister Kitty, she loved cheerleading and was very involved with art and music. At sixteen she recorded a 78 vinyl record of a French art song, in a lyric soprano. During this time she also developed her painting skills and after high school, attended the prestigious Cleveland Institute of Art. Then came college at Bowling Green University, where as a member of the choir, she met her future husband, Roy. They were married in 1950. They had 2 children and with region changes and promotions in Roy's work, they moved often, built homes, negotiated school districts, joined Newcomer groups, and made many life long friends.
During those years, Pat taught art in the Girl Scout Troops, fashioned the costumes for the children's bicycle parades, had the carrot strips in ice water ready on the table when the kids came in from school, hosted memorable parties for neighbors and Roy's office, planned adventurous and educational family vacations, produced hundreds of paintings that sold at auction, won awards at shows and adorned their homes and offices.
She was a wonderful wife and mother. Pat was a wise counselor, listener, consoler and friend. She was regal, beautiful and set an example for her children of kindness and love.
