Paul proudly served in the United States Coast Guard for four years. He later enjoyed a successful career with Reptron Electronics, where he served as Vice President of Purchasing before retiring.
Paul enjoyed many hobbies, including working in the yard, woodworking, reading, and solving crossword puzzles. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family and will be remembered for the love he shared with those closest to him.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Elvin D. Heister and Mary Jane Heister; his sisters, Janet Omundson and Cindy Heister; and his brothers, Jim Heister and Lenny Heister.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Carol Anne Heister; his daughter, Michele Buehler; son-in-law, Gary Buehler; granddaughter, Alexis Buehler; and grandson, Ethan Romano. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, 2860 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL 33759.
A Celebration of Life will follow from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL 33759.
