

Peter E Norman Sr. March 18, 1930 – April 3, 2015 Peter E Norman Sr. passed away on Good Friday, April 3 at the age of 85. Pete was a proud veteran of the US Army. At the time of his passing, Pete was living in Clearwater, FL with his beloved wife of 40 years, Dorothy whom he was endlessly devoted to. Prior to moving to Florida, Peter lived in Darien, CT and his most recent employment was for Grasso & Son Builders, where he worked 27 years until his retirement at 62. He was a 50 year member of the CT Laborers Union and proudly helped everyone with his carpentry skills whenever he could. He also formerly resided in Stamford and Ridgefield CT. He remained active right up until his diagnosis and passed a short two months later. Pete was predeceased by his son Ricky. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Clearwater, FL, brother Neil who resides in Stamford CT, son Peter Norman Jr., his wife Kathy and grandchildren Jamie & Katie who reside in Texas, daughter Maureen Taylor, grandchildren Guy & Christine and 8 great grandchildren who reside in Florida, daughter, Linda Tripodi & husband Joe who reside in CT , grandchildren Amanda and Brandon who currently reside in MA, son Jimmy Szast & wife Brigitta , grandchildren Lauren & Daniel and two great grandchildren who reside in CT, son, Allan Szast & his wife Dawn, grandchildren Chris, David and Anna and a great grandchild all of whom reside in CT and daughter-in-law Kathy Norman and grandson (RJ) who also reside in CT. Pete’s warm smile, hearty laugh and incredibly kind heart will be missed by all who knew him, but leaves an especially large hole in the hearts of those that loved him. A 1:00pm graveside service will be held @ Sylvan Abbey Cemetery at 2860 Sunset Pt. Road in Clearwater on Monday, April 27.
