Phil was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 3, 1939 to the late Lawrence & Helen (Brunzo) Armato. He grew up in Wrigleyville, making him inescapably loyal to the Cubs. By trade, in construction, Phil became an expert tuck & pointer man, restoring Chicago’s famous high-rises. He was beloved by many, a jokester and a flirt every day of his life. And though, we take comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain, and that he joins his beloved wife in Heaven, we feel his absence deeply in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy; children, Lisa and David; and siblings, Lawrence and Madge.
Phil is survived by his beloved son, Philip Armato, Jr.; his loving sister, Linda Armato; and his grandchildren, Dustin and Gabrielle.
We will celebrate Phil’s life at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater, Florida with a graveside service on Sunday, July 27 at 2pm.
