Porter G. Elliott

Elliott, Porter G. 94 of Clearwater, FL passed away at his home Tuesday, March 2, 2010 with his loving family by his side under the care of Hospice. He was born in Fitchburg, MA. January 23, 1916, son of Clement & Beulah Elliott. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Florence Harris and a daughter; Janet. Porter served with the US Army during WW2 as a sergeant in the infantry stationed in Italy. He was a former member of the VFW and Clearwater Country Club. Porter was a member of Light of Christ Catholic Church. Surviving is his loving wife of 33 years; Jeannette (Jay), a son; James of Eliot, ME and two daughters; Denise Minsky of Salem, MA and Bernice Cano of Alburquerque, NM and three grandchildren; Chris Elliott, Stephanie Elliott and Alyssa Minsky. Porter enjoyed playing golf and woodworking. He was a HAM radio operator for many years and built his own radios. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday March 6, 2010 at 11am at the Light of Christ Catholic Church, 2176 Marilyn St., Clearwater, FL. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be given to Suncoast Hospice, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760.
