It is nearly a year later and I have just now discovered Ralph's passing. My heart hurts for this loss. Four years of comradarie as under grads at Florida Southern. Ever the smartests, Ralph was double major in Biology and Chemistry. One of the few to take and excell in P Chem. I'm so sorry he is gone! The world gets a little dimmer with each great person who leaves. RIP Ralph. My sympathy to Teresa and his family.

Dr. Robertson was a great person and amazing Dr to work with. You will be missed so much. Rest in peace

Sleep well, Ralph. I still consider you my brother-in-law and so appreciated you reaching out to me.  Condolences to Teresa.

Ralphie, you were my golden boy. You blessed our family with your presence. You worked so hard to get through medical school; always an achiever. You could fix anything, build anything and cook anything. There wasn't anything you couldn't do. We loved you so! You will always be our son, our brother, our amazing Ralph. The memories I have and my wonderful eightieth birthday in New York with you and Teresa will always be foremost in my heart! You will never know how much we all loved you and will miss you until we will be together in Heaven! Sleep well, and soon we will be together again!

Words can not express my sadness. Your memory and presence will be remembered all over TGH.  Who will be as patient with me and my I-watch as you were. I hope the angels know who they have, you are a true loss to TGH GI. Heartfelt condolences to your family.

This has been heart breaking to hear about Ralph. My daughters and I have some funny and wonderful memories of Ralph. When Ralph gave you a hug you felt his love. Such a rare human being. I am proud to be called Ralph's cousin.

My deepest condolences to Ralph's entire family during this difficult time.  Ralph was a very caring, wonderful person and Physician. He will be greatly missed by many of us who grew to love him! Very sad to lose another wonderful cousin. This leaves another big hole in our family circle. Sending comfort and love to the family for this terrible loss.  May the angels draw near and put their wings around the family to comfort them.

Sending thoughts and prayers to our family. Cousin Ralph was a wonderful man and he will be so missed. What a wonderful day it will be when we can be together again.

Ralph was a great Anesthesiologist that touched many of our lives. Not a day went by that Ralph didn't put his family first.  A resilient worker and provider for his family.  To me,  what I truly appreciated about Ralph besides his excellent skills as a physician,  was that he was genuine and one of the most loyal friends you could ask for. Rest In Peace my friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Medicine, is a team sport, and most essential for the care of children. Our dear Ralph was a 2004 founding member of the Pediatric Surgical team at TGH. Parents and the entire OR staff trusted him. Yes, he and I would have endless culinary debates about "what goes with what and why" but it always, always, took second stage to the care of kids...Ralph's kids!   We have lost a valuable and loyal member of Team TGH.  I honor you my friend, and may your memory be eternal.

So saddened by Ralph's passing!  He was a wonderful person and a great anestheolgist!

To his patients he was "Ralph". To everyone who worked with him he was "Ralph". His ear to ear smile would light up the room. He had the kindest, most thoughtful heart. Ralph taught me so much over the years, both clinically and more importantly about life and what matters most...family. He loved to share stories of his travels, children, grandchildren and Teresa. Through all of life's celebrations and tragedies over the years, Ralph was always there. He was such a great mentor and support to so many of us. I will forever cherish and carry with me the wisdom and memories shared with Ralph. He was truly an original who left his mark on all who knew him. May his light shine on in Teresa and all of his family. Rest in peace up there, Ralph. We miss you.

My heart goes out to Ralph's family. He was a fantastic man and an exceptional anesthesiologist! I had the privilege of working with him while he was at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola and I have fond memories of those days on the OR. He will be greatly missed by everyone he touched.

To Ralph's family your loss and pain are shared by the many friends who loved him. I had the privilege of riding with him and he was always telling me to get a Harley and sell my goldwing.
He was the best at his craft, especially at heart surgery where I worked with him.  I pray GOD will grant you peace for this great loss. Humanity has lost a superb physician, teacher and mentor to all who had the pleasure of his company.

Ralph, I am struggling with how to share how important you have been in my life. From teaching me the art of the perfect anesthetic to guiding me through some difficult times in my personal life, your presence has always been huge. I enjoyed every second I was lucky enough to work with you, to get to know you and to bond with you. We have shared so many memories , stories,  laughs (sooo many laughs).....the videos of your grandkids and the serious stuff too, the worry and concern for the love of your life Teresa. The ultimate family man, chef, anesthesiologist, one of life's true giants. There isn't a day that passes where I don't employ the techniques you have shared with me, both professionally and personally. I miss you Ralph and I always will.

My sympathy to Ralph's family. Please know that besides his loving family at home he had another loving family of those who have worked with him. I worked with him in the OR and Ralph was the anesthesiologist I would have for myself as he brought calm and encouragement with the anesthesia. These characteristics mean so much to all personnel during surgery. A good man who enjoyed life too. Thank you, Ralph.

I worked with Dr. Robertson in the Main OR primarily. He was one of the first Dr.'s I ever worked with at TGH that made me feel a sense of calmness and that everything was gonna be ok. He would come in when we were doing intense Crani cases and talk about harley rides  with Dr. HVL. He was such a compassionate, loving Dr. He was also extremely competent and you never had to wonder what he was thinking- I liked that most about him. Dr. Robertson- You are sorely missed, I only wish we could have been able to help you as much as you helped so many others. You are irreplaceable. My prayers go out to the family.

My heart broke hearing the news about Ralph's passing. He took care of so many of my patients and I trusted him implicitly with the smallest of babies.  He was an amazing anesthesiologist as everyone knows. What I will always remember about Ralph is his smile and how every single time he saw me, he asked me how I was doing.  I think this reflected Ralph's kind heart.  I and the Pediatric Surgery family at TGH/usf will truly miss you.  God Bless you Ralph and your family.

Ralph has left a huge hole in this world. He truly cared about people and expected us to provide exceptional care while make anesthesia look easy. He empowered me by his confidence in me. He helped form me into the Crna I am today. But Ralph had more impact than that. He taught he how to pace myself and find balance in life. Teresa he cared so much for you and would go to the ends of the works for you. Ralph was a true family man. Ive seen so many neat videos/ pictures of the grandkids- be it playing hockey or the littlest one grinning . 
Ralph, I do hope you are enjoying a nice cigar and some amazing food while relaxing with your feet up and a relaxed grin.

As the former 11-7 Charge Nurse of the Main OR at TGH, Ralph we one of my favorite residents. I was in charge the night he showed up at Control with screw driver in hand to install his peanut butter pie recipe. He was fantastic to work with during a trauma and we felt especially confident when he was team leader. I have missed working with him. He will be missed by the multitudes!❤Thoughts and prayers to his family!

Ralph always had a ready smile.  He made us laugh.  He made us his World Famous Peanut Butter Pie.  My thoughts are with his family.  God heals all hurt.  We love you and will miss you Dr. Robertson.

Ralph was compassionate, caring , and a good friend to both my husband and me.  My husband looked forward to spending evenings with Ralph sitting on our patio watching the ships, smoking cigars and sipping a good port or scotch.  Both of them were able to relax, forget about work, and other stresses.  They shared memories, desires and goals as well as a few good jokes.  Family was everything to Ralph.  He loved Teresa and worried about her constantly.  His children and grandchildren were the light of his life.  He wanted them to achieve their goals and supported them in whatever they were doing.  Ed, my husband, and I were honored to call Ralph a friend.  There will always be an empty chair on our patio waiting for Ralph.
