

Parker, Reba Jean 74 passed away peacefully at her home in Clearwater, Florida on Thursday evening May 19, 2011. Jean was born June 29, 1936 in Cookeville, Tennessee; the youngest of 15 children of the late Charlie and Bertha Lee Allison. She graduated from Baxter Seminary in 1954 and married the love of her life and soul mate Donald Parker on March 3, 1962. They lived in Ferndale, Michigan until 1968 and moved to Clearwater, FL. She was employed at several local businesses including Great Bay Distributors, Walker Ford, Lokey Motors, and Gayfers department store. Jean worked for the city of Clearwater’s finance department for 13 years until having a debilitating stroke in 1993.
She leaves her loving husband of 49 years Don who was her constant caregiver and companion. Daughter Donna Jean Boerner (Greg) of Redington Beach, FL, stepsons Gary L. Parker of Kansas City, MO and Keith B. Parker (Karen) of Boynton Beach, FL; brother Hubert Allison, Cookeville, TN; sisters Blanche Lollar, Cookeville, TN and Flossie Lewis, Southgate, MI; 5 grandchildren Allison, Olivia and Ethan Boerner, Craig and Stephanie Parker; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, Clearwater on May 23, 2011 from 5 to 8 pm. A memorial service will be held at Dyer Funeral Home in Cookeville, TN with internment at Pleasant View cemetery.
