Rebeca Santiago, age 78 passed away on Thursday, August 6th 2026 in Clearwater, Florida. She is survived by her sister Sandra Santiago, her niece Sandra Utsch along with Sandra's husband John Utsch and their children Alexander and Faith Utsch, her nephew Luis Rodriguez, his wife Danielle Rodriguez and their sons Jaden and Gabriel Rodriguez, and her beloved Havanese, Cosita Linda.
She was born in Marianao, Cuba and immigrated to the United States in 1960 where she later graduated from Clearwater High School and then attended a technical school to learn Data Processing. She had a successful career in this field until her retirement.
Rebeca was a kind, loving soul and she gave to many charities. She loved performing magic tricks, making jokes and having fun with her friends and family. She loved all things Disney especially Uncle Scrooge and Star Wars. She was an amateur Egyptologist and loved to collect Egyptian curios. She was an avid collector of coins, comic books, Disney art & movies. She was passionate about Monkeys especially the biggest one, King Kong and all things related to Dragons and Harry Potter.
She was a bright light in our lives, was always generous with her family and all those in need. Above all things she loved her family and will be deeply missed.
Rebeca will be laid to rest with her parents at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater, Florida.
A visitation will be held at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL 33759, on August 14, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL 33759, on August 14, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
