Robert Patrick Moffett

The youngest of four boys, Robert grew up in Springfield, Illinois. He went on to pursue a career in dentistry, graduating from dental school more than 65 years ago. He began his career as a dentist in the United States Navy, followed by private practice in Chicago. He later made Clearwater, Florida, his home, where he established his dental practice and spent decades doing what he loved, caring for his patients.

He married the love of his life, Marjorie, and together they shared nearly 62 years of marriage, building a family that became his greatest joy.

Robert was a devout Catholic and servant of God who took great pride in his faith and found purpose in helping others. He was the proud father of John Moffett, who preceded him in death, Lisa Moffett (Ron), and Ryan Moffett (Chelsea). He was a loving grandfather to Nina, Rowan, Sloane, and Marilyn, and a proud great-grandfather to Cade Robert.

He enjoyed golf and tennis, but his true passion was his family. He was happiest when everyone was together, and nothing meant more to him than the people he loved.

Above all, Robert will be remembered for his kind and generous heart and his loving spirit. His warmth and kindness touched everyone he met. There was a genuine goodness about him that left an impression on others and defined the way he lived his life.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A Celebration of Life honoring Robert will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL 33759. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of his life.
