

He was born in Manistique, Michigan on August 21, 1934 to the late Leland & Edna (VanDyck) Fox.
Ronald Grew up in Berkley, Michigan and Ferndale. After graduating high school, Ronald joined the U.S Army in 1954 and served as a light infantry man at Fort Knox, KY and South Korea; and, earned a national defense metal and honorable discharge.
A year later, he met his wife of 67 years on a blind date and married in 1958. They had 3 children: Julie, Curtis, and Martin. Ronald made a career in the telephone industry and worked for Michigan Bell for over 30 years and retired. He continued part time work for At&T and Nokia as a consultant.
Ronald also coached little league baseball when his boys were in elementary school. Ronald loved to hunt, fish, snowmobile, golf, and billiards. One of his favorite skills was to BBQ and smoke meats and fish. He was also in a pistol club in Royal Oak, Michigan and won many sharpshooter ribbons.
One of Ronald's biggest achievements was becoming a Freemason at the Livonia Lodge. He worked his way up the chairs to the top and became a Worshipful Master of the lodge and was well respected. He was also a member of the Shriners organization.
Ronald and Beverley loved to travel, cruise, and be with family. He was a loving husband, supportive father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and will be missed so very much.
He is survived by his daughter Julie and her husband Joe, his son Curtis and wife Jeannie, and son Marty and wife Cori; grandchildren: Brian, David, Jenny, Karen, Steven, and Amanda; great grandchildren, Arlo, Levi, Stella, and Titus; and sisters, Vicky Burr and Barbara Douglas.
