Russell Fred Minier Jr.

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Russell F. Minier at home on August 26th, 2026 at the age of 88. He is the beloved husband of over 65 years to Hazel Minier. He is the loving father of Jim Minier (Marianne) and Debra Strand, proud grandfather of Ted Strand (Calandre), Josh Strand (Nicole) and great grandfather to Haiden Strand. His sister-in-law Donna Minier, uncle to Bobby Minier (Wendy) and Trina Minier-Crighton. He also has several grand nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Russell F. Minier and Bertha Minier and his brother, Robert Minier.

Russell was born in Newark, NJ in 1938. He moved to Clearwater Fl. while in high school. He graduated and married Hazel. They met at church. Russell was an electrician, owned a T.V. repair business for many years. Russell was a Sergeant in the Army National Reserve and worked for Sperry Rand and Aliant.

Russell was and is deeply loved and his absence will be deeply felt. He will be remembered for his love of family.

In keeping with Russells wishes, cremation has taken place.

A Graveside Service will be held at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, 2860 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL 33759, on September 14, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
