

Ruth Rose Fiaccadori Bashour, age 94, of Tarpon Springs, Florida passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021. Ruth was born December 17, 1926 in Glassmere, Pennsylvania. Throughout her life, she resided in New Kensington, PA, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Morgantown, WV and Stuart, FL. Ruth graduated from high school and went on to work as a dedicated telephone operator for Bell South and eventually retired after 33 years from AT&T as an engineering clerk. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elide and Emma Fiaccadori and her brothers, Larry and Nathan Dorie. Ruth is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Kenneth Bashour, her two children, Celeste Bashour of Cool Ridge, WV and Daniel Bashour of Palm Harbor, FL, grandchildren, Nicole Bashour, of Pittsburgh, PA, Laura and Ryan Bashour of Morgantown, WV, and sister, Norma Drupieski.
Ruth cherished her time spent with her three grandchildren who referred to her as their "Ninnie.” She had a good sense of humor, big heart with a deep love for her family, was very spiritual with a strong belief in God and she enjoyed singing in the church choir every Sunday. Ruth and Ken were long time members of St. George Orthodox Church in New Kensington, PA (the town in which they met and married) and St. Mary's Orthodox Church in West Palm Beach, FL. She loved painting, reading and cooking Italian and Middle Eastern food for her family, all the while never missing an episode of Jeopardy.
A visitation for Ruth will be held Friday, June 25, 2021 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Rd., Clearwater, FL 33759. A funeral service will occur Friday, June 25, 2021 from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, 2853 Sunset Point Rd., Clearwater, FL 33759. A committal service will occur Friday, June 25, 2021 from 2:45 to 3:00 pm at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, 2860 Sunset Point Rd., Clearwater, FL 33759. A burial will occur at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, 2860 Sunset Point Rd., Clearwater, FL 33759.
