Saymar Mir, age 90, of Clearwater, Florida passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. She was born on October 23, 1932 in Holguin, Cuba to Jose Artigas and Maria Vasquez. She is survived by her four children; Walter Mir, Liana Banuelos, Silvia Esponda and Gustavo Mir, 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter.
Saymar was a devoted wife, mother and school teacher. She emigrated to Clearwater from Cuba in 1971, along with her family. She graduated with her Masters in Education (M. ED) from Florida Southern College of Lakeland, Florida.
A visitation for Saymar will be held Friday, June 16, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL 33759. A graveside service will occur at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park.
