

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard J. Swetel and Diana L. Swetel (Smith), as well as her grandparents, John and Pearl Swetel.
Sharon is survived by her brother, Mark, and her two sons, Scott (Sherrie A.) and Adam (Julie P.). She was a devoted grandmother to her beloved grandson, Sloan, who made her eyes light up every time they were together.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Sharon graduated from North High School. She built a meaningful career as a nurse practitioner, which she considered her proudest professional achievement, specializing in pediatric and prenatal care. She officially retired from nursing while working with Magellan Case Management.
Sharon was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Mentor, Ohio, and later Stonebridge United Methodist Church in McKinney, Texas. Her faith and relationship with God, along with the support of her brothers and sisters in Christ, sustained and motivated her throughout every stage of her life.
Sharon wished to be remembered for her positive attitude and warrior-like tenacity in facing life’s battles.
A Celebration of Life for Sharon will be held on Saturday, January 31st, 2026, at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home in Clearwater, Florida.
