Shirley M. Evans

She was born August 23, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Signe Bergmark Keagy & Henry Donald Keagy.

The Keagy Family moved to East Sparta, Ohio when Shirley was 15.

She married after high school and raised four children in Magnolia Ohio.

Shirley worked as a bookkeeper for many years both in Canton, Ohio and Pinellas County, Florida. She moved to Clearwater/Dunedin in 1978.

Shirley was an active volunteer, having been a Girl Scout leader, PTA member, and Band Booster, in addition to taking classes to learn to sew, knit, can, and freeze vegetables (with youngest child in tow) hauling the other three to 4H, Scouts, Music recitals and many other events too numerous to list.

Shirley was a longtime active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Clearwater, Florida where she continued to donate her time after retiring from bookkeeping for Caladesi Construction.

Shirley was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards, and having lunches with her friends. She has many fond memories of walking along Edgewater Drive in Dunedin near her home when she was able.

She is survived by her son Dale, daughters Dawn, Deanne, and Darla, 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many dear relatives and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park & Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life will be held on:

Sunday December 7, 2025.

10:30-12:30.

Light lunch will be served.
