

Stamatia N Dritsas of Palm Harbor, Florida, passed away on December 25, 2021 with her family by her side at the age of 87. She was born on June 20, 1934, and raised in Tarpon Springs, Florida by the late Nikolaos and Sevasti (Maillis) Georgiadis of Kalymnos, Greece. She graduated from Tarpon Springs High School on June 14, 1949.
On June 21, 1953, Stamatia married Harry J. Dritsas of Detroit, Michigan. Stamatia was predeceased by her loving husband in 2009. Together they opened their hearts and their home to adopt two children. They adopted Cynthia in 1962 and Nicholas in 1965. Their son, Nicholas J. Dritsas of Ft. Myers, Florida, passed in 2017.
Stamatia is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Provenza, and her son-in-law, Charles Provenza (both of Palm Harbor, FL), her granddaughters Sevasti Buford (Los Angeles, CA) and Alexa Buford (Palm Harbor, FL), and her step grandson, Alexander Provenza (Palm Harbor, FL).
Family and friends will remember “Stamie” as a giving and selfless woman. She loved with her whole heart. Her positive attitude, love, and kindness to those in her life were her greatest gift(s) to all of us that knew her.
There will be an outdoor graveside service at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park on Tuesday, January 18, at noon. Following the service all will be invited to Stamie's home for a food, fellowship and to share memories (with outdoor seating). Details to be given at the service.
