Tanda Jo Knight

She was born on December 19, 1944 in Clearwater, FL, she was a 5th generation native of pioneer families and the great-granddaughter of Peter O. Knight of Tampa and also Crawford Parrish of Parrish, FL. After graduating from Dunedin High School, she attended The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in

New York City, NY. While in New York, she also worked for J. Walter Thompson Advertising Agency. After returning home to Florida, she attended The Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, where she realized her true talent and passion for art.

She is survived by her sisters; Cara Zingre and Jill Knight, and nephew James Caulfield. She is pre-deceased by her parents; Peter and Faye Knight, and sister Rosalind “Linde” Steigerwald.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranch and Suncoast Hospice.

A graveside service for Tanda will be held Friday, January 24, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL 33759. Following the graveside service will be a reception & celebration of life from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL 33759.
