Thelma M. Meadows, 95, of Clearwater FL, former resident of New Whiteland, IN. Our beautiful mother, Mrs. Thelma M. Meadows, 95, passed away November 19, 2018 at The Oaks of Clearwater in Clearwater, FL. Funeral Services Monday, November 26 3:00 PM in Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park Clearwater.
Thelma was born on October 26, 1923 in Valparaiso, IN to the Ralph and Charlotte (Adsit) Hindenburg. She married the love of her life Cliff W. Meadows December 31, 1945. Her hobbies and interest were her loving family, sewing, reading, bingo, playing cards, bowling, camping, boating, corn hole and just enjoying life. She was very active in her community: Local Town Politician, Whiteland Teen Canteen Founder and Chaperone, Past Member of Whiteland Optimist Club, Past Member of the Jubilee Chapter, No. 602 Order of Eastern Star in Whiteland, Past Member of Briar Creek Social Club, Past Member of the Whiteland United Methodist Church and the Heritage United Methodist Church Countryside Florida. She was the best mother/mother-in-law and grandmother anyone could ask for and loved her family dearly.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; infant grandson Ryan Wesley Meadows (1973); husband, Cliff Meadows (1998) and daughter, Sandra Meadows-Taylor (2016). She is survived by her sister, Ava Jean Ulrey (Safety Harbor, FL); son Ron [Katherine(Kathy)] of Clearwater Beach, FL; grandchildren: Cliffton Meadows (Sara) Riverview, FL; Cyndi Jessup of Phillips, WI; Chris Jessup (Kim) of Indianapolis, IN; great-grandchildren: Twins Sadie and Wesley Meadows and Morgan Jessup.
