Theresa Terry E McGurn Clarke

83, of Largo, Florida, passed away Dec. 27, 2012 at Hospice House Woodside in Pinellas Park, FL.

She was born June 22, 1929 in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of Joseph and Catherine “Duran” McGurn. She and her husband, George moved to Florida in 1986 from Lynn, Massachusetts, where she retired as an accountant for Brewer & Lord Insurance Co. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Clearwater, FL, Past President of Lynn Police Women’s Auxiliary, Past President of Oak Crest Mobil Home Park Northeast Club, and enjoyed creating custom greeting cards for family and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph McGurn. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, George F; four children, Michael J. Clarke, and his wife Margaret, Kathleen A. Clarke, Paula M. Clarke, and Janet E. Deveau and her husband John, and four grandchildren, Jennifer M. Clarke, Joseph M. Clarke, Andrew J. Deveau, and Nicholas C. Deveau.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 am Saturday, Jan. 5th at St Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Clearwater. Additional services will be held at a later date in Lynn, Massachusetts, where she will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Suncoast Hospice Foundation or American Cancer Society.
