

Thomas J. Freeman, 67, of Clearwater, FL., passed away September 15, 2015 in Palm Harbor, Fl. after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Tom was born November 27, 1947 and raised in Rochester, New York by his loving parents Hub and Mary Freeman. In addition to his wife, children and grandchildren, he is survived by his brother Terry (Laurie) and his niece Allison. He attended Aquinas High School, LeMoyne College and earned his MBA at the University of Rochester. He worked for Citicorp for 25 years and for Dime Savings / Washington Mutual for 5 years as a Real Estate Banker. He was married for 45 years to his loving wife Jean M. (Farrell) and together they enjoyed raising their family and moving around the country (Syracuse, Buffalo, Atlanta, Safety Harbor, Yorba Linda, CA and Clearwater). Tom greatly loved his children and their spouses, Mark (Stacy Sweeney), Melanie Skelton (Taylor), Brian (Amy Rachael) , and Stephanie Echarte (Andres). His pride and joy were his seven grandchildren, Emma, Ryan, and Travis ( Mark and Stacy) Freeman, Lyla, and Riley (Brian and Amy) Freeman, and Andres Jr. and Thomas Echarte (Stephanie and Andres). Tom's family was his first priority, and he took every opportunity to spend time with them. He always loved watching his children and grandchildren participate in their various academic and athletic activities which included countless days spent at the soccer fields. Tom loved eating, all types of cooking, working in the yard, watching sports, especially the Gators, and traveling. He was quick-witted and the life of the party, and he will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held Friday, Oct 2, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Oct 3, 2015 at 2 p.m.at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church 2405 Philippe Pkwy, Safety Harbor, FL. 34695.
