peacefully on March 10, 2022 surrounded by his loving wife and family. Tom will be greatly
missed by his wife of 66 years, Elly, and their children: Michele Moore (Michael), Thomas Moore
Jr. (Leta), John Moore (Elizabeth), Julie Tully (Kevin), and son-in-law Steve Proscino;
Grandchildren: Arla Moore, Lt. Col. Mike Moore (Amberlee), Tomi Moore, Alex Friedmen (Chris),
Erin Prater (Brian), Erin Tully, Matthew Proscino, John Moore Jr., Anna Moore, Megan Tully,
Kristen Mueller, Daniel Proscino, Eileen Tully, Thomas Moore, Grace Moore, and Mark Mueller;
Great-Grandchildren: Kala’i, Kaulana, Anela, Audrina, Benjamin, Kailani, Kea’au, and Addison;
as well as many nieces, nephews and their families and countless dear friends. He was
preceded in death by his daughter Anna Frances Proscino, his parents Anna Frances Moore
and Leo Moore and his brothers: Leroy, Marion, and Jack Moore.
Tom was an extremely faith-filled, courageous and honorable man. He had great passion for
God, Family, Country, golf, cars, and sports.. He was born in St. Louis, MO on December 23,
1933 and graduated from Cleveland High School in 1952. In 1954, he joined the United States
Air Force (USAF) and attended flying school as an aviation cadet. In 1955 he married Elinor
Zoricic. While in the Air Force, he obtained a BS in Management at the University of Nebraska
in 1964, a Masters of Business Administration at the University of Oklahoma in 1968 and
graduated from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces in 1971. Tom served as navigator
and later as pilot and aircraft commander, most notably in the KC135 and C-130. After flying
combat missions in Vietnam, he was stationed at USAF Headquarters, Pentagon, as the
Executive Officer to the Air Force Director of Operations. Tom completed his 29-year military
career with the rank of Colonel as the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at the US Air Force
Academy on Dec 31, 1980.
At that time, Tom began his 15-year second career at Anheuser-Busch, Inc. in St. Louis, and
became the worldwide Director of Military Sales. Tom was extremely proud to represent
Anheuser-Busch and felt privileged to facilitate the sale and distribution of products to all
branches of the armed forces on military bases worldwide. In addition, he was active in the USO
and other organizations that improved the lives of military personnel. He especially enjoyed
being the President of the United States Military Sports Association which provided support to
military athletes training for the Olympics and other competitions. In 1995, Tom founded Tom
Moore & Associates Inc., a consultant company specializing in worldwide military sales and
marketing and ultimately concluded his career at the age of 73.
Starting in 1996, Tom and Elly began residing in both Clearwater, FL and St. Louis, MO. He
was a member of Espiritu Santo Catholic Church in Safety Harbor, FL and Our Lady of the Pillar
Catholic Church in St. Louis, MO.

FL: Memorial Mass will be offered on March 15, 2022 at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church at 10:30
am.
MO: Visitation on March 22nd from 4:00pm - 7:00pm at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Road,
Kirkwood, MO 63122. A Rosary decade will be prayed at 5:30 pm. Funeral Mass March 23,2022
11:00am at Our Lady of the Pillar 401 S. Lindbergh Blvd. Creve Coeur, MO 63131. Interment
Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, gifts in honor of Thomas’s blessed life may be made
