

Tom was born in Galesburg, Illinois, in September 1932, and graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Management. He spent most of his career in the paper industry, where he held various roles in management and sales, primarily with Reynolds and Reynolds. His dedication and expertise earned him respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike.
Tom had a passion for adventure. He and his wife Kathy were married for 43 wonderful years, and they took advantage of learning new skills together. When he moved to Colorado, he became an avid skier on the slopes of the Rocky Mountains. He and his family were able to enjoy ski resorts in 7 different states, and he skiied well into his 70's. He also loved sailing and spent many joyful days on the water on the S.S. Loosly. Tom and Kathy bought an RV after they retired, and traveled across the United States, creating lasting memories together and exploring the beauty of the country.
Tom lived a fulfilling life, marked by his deep love for family and commitment to his community. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence, his brothers James and John Jr., and his sister Virginia. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy and his children; Jim (Jee), Lori (Peter), Lisa, Susan, Lynn, Patrick (Dora), and Keri (Jerry). He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren: Erin and Kristi, Alyssa, Brianna, Caylee, and Michaela, Michael and Elysia, Samantha Rose and Kaitlyn, and Samantha Julia and Zachary.
Thomas will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the positive impact he made on those around him. He was a man of great integrity and wisdom, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
