Tim Olander, age 68, passed away on March 20, 2020 in Safety Harbor, Florida. Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Fisher Olander and his father Donald Olander. Tim is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lynda (Woodcock) Olander, his daughter, Tracy Olander of Salem, OR, his step-mother Marilyn Olander of Loudan, TN as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

Tim retired from his position as Regional Sales Manager for Atlantic Mills of Lakewood NJ in 2009. In 2015, Tim and Lynda moved from their home in Chicago to Safety Harbor, Florida. Tim had always dreamt of relocating to Florida as soon as they were in a position to do so.

He was always happy to share his wine and his stories with family members and friends. Tim graduated with a BS degree in Economics from Georgetown University. He was a character who will be dearly missed.

Dear Lynda,
I always enjoyed my time with you and Tim. Tim sure enjoyed cooking and pairing his meals with a fine wine. My favorite memory of him was the weekend that I was stranded in Rapid City on Mother’s Day in a blizzard… Tim serenaded me With winter wonderland songs. Tim had a fantastic singing voice. He will be truly missed. Hugs from your friend Becky

I have never met Tim, but I felt a great admiration for him in talking to his wife Lynda during our walks with The Clearwater Walking Group. She told me of their trips to France to enjoy the foods and wines. They so enjoyed the wines, that they purchased a custom designed suitcase to bring back their favorites. May Lynda remember the special times with each glass of the treasured wines.

Our heart goes out to you Lyn. We have many fond memories with you both, whether celebrating in California, Switzerland or points in between. We’ve shared many lovely meals together always with fine wines and lively conversation. He will be missed by all.

My deepest sympathy to the Olander family. Tim shared so much knowledge with so many people over the years. He taught me the "Gordon Ramsey " way to cook scrambled eggs years ago and felt the need to teach me again and again (in case I forgot) I loved talking French food and wine with Tim, he had so much to say about the wine regions he and Lynda would visit so often. My thoughts and prayers to you..... Dan Natschke
