Over the years, Victoria …or  “Ms. Vicky” was known to myself, my children Naomi and Nathaniel and my granddaughter Ava.
I have lived in my community for 30 years, and she was a wonderful blessing to myself and the kids. My kids were very young when we moved to the community and they met “Ms. Vicky” and Mr. Chris some years after they arrived. I will confirm that with each and every encounter, we always left with a smile. With each visit to her home, whether a “drop by” or by invitation, we experienced genuine warmth and wisdom, I loved the conversations we held-> just about similarities as women, as parents,
and life challenges. I observed her strength through her “Battles and Blessings”..,. and Vicky was such a wonderfully kind person, that  she made you want to provide assistance to her and “Pay It Forward” simply because of how she helped others.
For myself, as a single parent, the compliments  she gave me added to confirmation I  needed to know priorities in life; and to just keep pressing forward. She will always be a treasured memory in my life and the lives of my children Naomi & Nathaniel and more recently, in the life of my granddaughter Ava. 

You will be missed      No more pain.  You are with heavenly family now

Vicky my dear longtime friend...You were such a special  person...Always enjoyed  talking  to you !I'm glad we kept in touch  through the years.  You always asked  about everyone else and never complained..I will miss you. I'm happy you left Peacefully. Rest In Peace.May God's Love surround  your family and friends.

Anything I ever learned about good movies & music I was taught by my mom.

My mother and I corresponded just about every day via either email, text or phone and not hearing from her to simply drop off a phone charger is a cold and unsettling feeling. 

She was a fighter and had a very trying last few years in and out of hospitals, but she kept going.  A day before she passed, mom ordered a sandwich from UberEats and we had lunch in her room, joking about how terrible hospital food was. She was in good spirits and laughing.  We talked about work, her grandchildren, and how she couldn’t wait to go home. I thank the lord that we were able to share that moment and when all was said and done I’m so very grateful she transitioned peacefully in her sleep.   

I have no doubt she was knocked over by a wave of tail-wagging Shih Tzus greeting her at the pearly gates.

I remember a few years ago I went down to Florida with a couple of friends. While we were there, we dropped by to see Aunt Vicki and she was so welcoming to us. She went all she got us pop, pizza and made sure we were all comfortable. My friends adored meeting her. Aunt Vicki would always check in with me to see how I was doing. I'm going to miss her! Rest Easy!

The day before  Vicky passed, a song by the supremes was playing on the radio.  It reminded me of a talent show at Fordson, in which Vicky and two of her friends, sandy and Mary, dressed up as "The Supremes" and for that one night were the " White Afronians" with, of course, Vicky as the lead, "Diana Ross" needless to say, they stole the show! I was telling Diana all about it, and how for many months, years after, friends would relate to me how much they enjoyed " the show", and were impressed that she was my sister! Every time, I hear a Supremes song, that memory is awakened inside me!


So sorry to hear of your passing Vickie. You were special to me, and I looked forward to our talks and interesting discussions at the family gatherings. Thank you for the friendship, and the special blue crystal Christmas candle I’ll always cherish. Never forget the good times with your amazing son who’d do anything for you, your beautiful family and now, two grandchildren💙💗 God Bless you 🙏🏻 Mary

I am so grateful that I had the pleasure of knowing Vicki, she was one those people you want to know.  She was a great conversationalist she always knew when you needed motivation or just an ear for venting! We all know Vicki didn't hold back on her opinions when talking, but she was honest! When I talked to her for the first time after meeting Michael we talked for over two hours. She welcomed me and my daughters to the family from the very beginning and we loved hearing from her whether just a text or phone call. She always wanted the best for everyone and did what she could to help. I rarely heard her complain about her health conditions. Vicki you will be missed and it was an honor to love and be loved by you!❤️

My Beatiful big sister as I sit here writing this the song Peaceful, Easy Feeling by The Eagles began playing on SiriusXM. This song sums up most of what I am feeling right now about losing you. You introduced me to The Eagles when I was a teen and we've been big fans of them for years.  Hotel California was our favorite and we'd sing along to it whenever we heard it together.  It is only one of many memories I have of you from our lifetime together. Words can never come close to what I what to express. I just hope you know how much I Love you and appreciate all you've done for me in this life and how you are not only a sister but a friend to me. You were always there for me and I only wish I could've been there more for you. My only solace right now is knowing you are no longer suffering or in pain.  And that you are reunited with Ken, Mom and Dad and the rest of the family that has passed on.  And you're enjoying the reunion.

We will miss you Miss Vicki and your contributions to our family gatherings!  They won’t be the same without you!  You had quite the wit and were a great  conversationalist!  You always made sure we had the right stuff for the meals!  Big shoes for someone to fill! ( even if you only wore a size 5? ) rest easy pal!

My sweet, wonderful neighbor and dear loyal friend! She always worried about others, and was so generous. She never complained about her health condition. I am so honored and blessed to have such a beautiful friend in my life. I treasure our time together.  She loved her son and family dearly. Heaven has an angel, and we have a guardian angel! Rest in peace....I will see you in my dreams. You did well here on earth, your kindness and presence blessed so many.
