Virginia "Gini" A. Reed

Gini was born July 8, 1933 in Erie, Pa. and died on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in Largo, Fl. She was raised by her adoptive parents, J. Gerald and Zenola F. Miller in Corry, Pa., and graduated from Corry High School in 1951. She married Harley C. Reed on March 26, 1951. The year of their marriage she met her biological father and siblings.

While in Corry Gini was employed by G. C. Murphy Co. and the Al Xander Co. In 1963 the family moved to Erie, Pa. and she was employed by Warren Radio, Inc. and L’Arche Erie. In 1982 Largo, Fl. became their home. Her employers there were Honeywell Federal Credit Union, Clearwater, Fl and GTE Federal Credit Union, Tampa, Fl.

Gini was a member of Honeybelles serving as President and Member of the Board. She is a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, a member of Discoverers Sunday School Class and a member of Presbyterian Women, serving on the Coordinating Team, Treasurer for two terms, and Secretary for two terms.

Preceding her in death are her adoptive parents and biological parents, John Gabriel and Julia Stec Pekelnicky, siblings, Joseph and Stanley Pekelnicky. Surviving her are sons, Barry A. and Bradley A. Reed (Michele), and daughter, Brenda A. Scheuer; grandchildren, Joshua, Kara, Levi (Rachel) Reed: Kyle, Kelly and Kacie Scheuer; siblings, John Pekelnicky (Birdie) and Julia Gorniak, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
