Obituary for Walsli Mashragi

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Walsli Mashragi, a beloved father, husband, grandfather, and distinguished mechanical engineer, on June 12, 2024, at the age of 77.

Walsli was born on May 30, 1947, and grew up with a profound curiosity for how things worked. This passion led him to pursue a career in mechanical engineering, where he made significant contributions to the field over his decades-long career. Rising through the ranks to become a senior executive, Walsli was known for his innovative designs and meticulous attention to detail, qualities that earned him the respect and admiration of his peers.

Beyond his professional achievements, Walsli was a devoted family man. He is survived by his loving wife, Tereza Mashragi; his son, Abraham Mashragi, and his wife, Diana Michael; his daughter, Nancy Mashragi, and her husband, Shahir Tawfik; and his cherished grandchildren, AnnaSemone Shahir, Anthony Shahir, and Angelina Shahir. Walsli’s kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held at St Mary and St Mina Coptic Orthodox Church on June 15, 2024, at 11:00 AM to honor and celebrate Walsli’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude in his memory.

Walsli Mashragi’s legacy will live on through his contributions to engineering and the lasting impact he had on his family and community. He will be remembered with great affection and respect.”
