Warren Chester Reed Jr.

Born on February 15, 1951, in Springfield, Massachusetts, Warren was a skilled carpenter and spent many years working for several construction companies and local contractors.

Warren enjoyed life on his own terms. He loved to sing, dance, shoot pool, throw darts and horseshoes, hunt, snowmobile, fish at the Quabbin Reservoir, play cards, and enjoy a drink with good company. Some of his best years were spent in Massachusetts, where he tended a large garden and enjoyed sitting under his carport or in his famous “Shop” with family, friends, and his dogs, Bear and Titus.

He loved summer days spent barefoot by the pool, grilling, and having fish fries with friends. He also enjoyed annual vacations in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, where he visited family, caught crabs, and ate Pier French Fries and Bill’s Pizza.

He leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Theresa Casey Reed; his daughters, Sonya (Michael) Paske of Palm Harbor, Florida, and Lesley (Scott) Kanehl of Clearwater, Florida; and his grandchildren, Jayde Wetteland, Landon Kanehl, and Addyson Kanehl. He is also survived by his sister, Donna Berthiaume-Incantalupo, along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Warren C. Reed Sr. and Marie Ange Pelletier; his sisters, Alice Lorenz, Elizabeth “Betty” Jones, and Patricia McCarthy; and his brother, Lester Reed.

Warren packed a great deal of living into his 75 years. His life was filled with music, gatherings, laughter, travel, family, friends, and a little bit of mischief now and then. He lived his dash his way and leaves behind memories and stories that will continue to be shared for years to come.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL 33759, on November 1, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, and all guests are invited to continue in fellowship at a catered reception following the service.
