William T. Aylward

William Thomas Aylward, born May 30th 1919 in North Sydney , Nova Scotia , Canada. "Bill" was the oldest of 13 siblings, of Frank and Mary Aylward . He grew up in North Sydney and attended St Josephs School. Bill started sailing at a young age and was a member of the Merchant Marine Navy during World War II . Bill sailed over seas where he met his wife May Mooney . They married in 1946 and started their life together which resulted in being one of three families in North America to have six generations living. William passed away peacefully on Sept./ 9th /2013 ,at 94 years old . He is predeceased by parents Frank and Mary, his wife May . He is survived by brothers , Frank, Fred, Joe, Ritchie - sisters , Theresa & Florence. predeceased by Mike , Leo ,Jack , Albert , Alice and Rose. Six children, Robert, James, Denis{deceased}, Patricia, Thomas{deceased} and Maureen. Grandchildren - Blair, Davie, Paul, Daryl, Shaun, Michael, Christopher, and Carly. Twelve great grandchildren. Five great, great grandchildren, and one great, great, great grandchild. WE will all miss his warm heart and bright smile!!! Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 -8 PM at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 693 S. Belcher Rd. Clearwater, FL. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 AM,Thursday at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, 1955 S. Belcher Rd., Clearwater, FL.
