

Willie, fondly known as Bo, W.B. or Willie James was born to Ballom Baity and Catherine Pryor on February 28,1942 in Ellenton, Florida. He was a man of strength and moral character, who dedicated his life to family and loved ones.
In 1962 He graduated from Pinellas High School and enlisted in the United States Army and completed four Tour of Duties during the Vietnam war. After completing his service in the Army, Willie came home and began working as a Crane Operator with Sims Crane Service in Tampa and became the first black member of the local union Operating Engineers Local 925. He helped construct the overpass on Gulf to Bay and US 19.
Willie leaves behind a wealth of knowledge about nature as his past time was spent bird watching, gardening, fishing, and hunting. He was known as a jack of all trades, he repaired small engines, practiced taxidermy and home-brewed beer from fruit in his garden.
He is preceded by both his parents and his older brother Curtis Mays and survived by his aunt Marie Beard, his sisters Glemma McCray, Annie Battle (Ricky), Levonice Matthews, Joan Pittman, Mary Marie Bullard, Mary Ann Gavin and brothers Charles T. Scrivens Sr. (Antoinette) Ralph Baity and Charles Baity (Jo Ann). His children, Jennoris McNeal, Terry Blocker, Troy Blocker and Carla Lisbon (Vincent), his grandchildren, Denzil Quiver, Gennetta Quiver and Everton Foster II, Twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, his best friend Mr. Willie Sutton (Shirley) and longtime friends Mr. Jerry Johnson and Kenneth Miles (Denise).
