September 19, 2001 – July 24, 2025
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Zakkery Holzhauer, who left this world far too soon on July 24, 2025, at the age of 23. Born at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida, on September 19, 2001, Zakkery brought unforgettable light, laughter, and love into the lives of everyone who knew him.
A proud graduate of Countryside High School, Zakkery was known for his goofiness, quick wit, and his rare gift of making anyone and everyone laugh. Whether he was telling a joke, pulling a prank, or just being his silly, authentic self, Zakk had a way of brightening even the darkest of days.
He was an avid gamer who cherished his time online with his boys — gaming, joking, and making memories that will last forever. His life was always filled with the pulse of loud music, laughter, and a carefree spirit that defined who he was. Zakk also loved cheering on his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys, and never missed a chance to rep his team with pride. He lived loud, loved hard, and laughed often.
Zakkery is deeply loved and missed by his father, William Holzhauer; his mother, Michelle Holzhauer; his brother, Alex Holzhauer; his sisters, Taryn Holzhauer and Madison Herder; and his grandmother, Patricia Holzhauer. He also leaves behind countless friends and extended family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Zakkery will be placed with his grandfather and best friend, Hilton — reunited with the man who helped shape so much of who he was and loved him beyond measure.
In honor of Zakkery’s spirit, his family encourages you to laugh often, turn up your favorite song, and never miss a chance to be your true self — just as Zakk always was.
Rest easy, Zakk. Keep the music loud, the Cowboys close, and the laughter rolling — you’ll always be with us.
