Zakkie, you were the best little brother and I love you so fkn much. I see little reminders of you everywhere, and it feels like you're with me somehow. You will be deeply missed, and never ever forgotten. Until we see each other again, keep pumping that bass, cracking all the jokes, and always remember how incredibly loved you are.

It's the Monday after your funeral and I have to say, bruh, you would have enjoyed seeing everyone. Chances are, we'd have made fun of people the entire time like we used to do at family events. You'd have bitched about the music being too low and especially the feedback from the mic. It happened most when I got up to talk....which is a little suspicious dude. ;) 

Anyway, we all love you and it was my honor to know you for the last 20ish years. I enjoyed all of the moments - from playing video games with you at the old house until I practically vomited all the way to sitting in our living room now, enjoying the "finer things in life" like we used to do often - I am going to miss it a ton. You weren't just a brother in law, you were as close as blood.

LOVE YA DUDE. I'll drive over the causeway tonight with my windows down and blast some tunes with the bass all the way up (it isn't as good as yours, but it'll do).

Zakk was one of the most genuine people I ever knew. Everyone wanted to be his friend including me. He was one of my closest friends during middle school, where we met in chorus in 6th Grade. He is the only person I’ve ever known to have never been badmouthed by anyone. Everyone who knew him adored him, a testament to show the kind of person he really was, a good man. He was also one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. Every time I was around him. I would always have a smile on my face not many people could do that.

It pains me to know that you’re gone, brother. But I know you’re in a better place and we will all see you soon.

Zakk was the most genuine soul I’ve ever met, im not very fond of people these days but Zakk was different he was the one friend I went out of my way to spend time with because every second of it he was never thinking about himself only others, I know everyone can agree he was the funniest soul on the planet. Words can’t describe how much I loved him..  I love you Zakk and never in a thousand lifetimes will I ever forget you.

Dear Michelle and Family, 

This is such heartbreaking news to hear.  I'm so very sorry for your loss. 

I remember Zakk as a precocious young boy last time I saw him.   What I knew of him was from Michelle always sharing stories of all her children's adventures and antics.  

I lost one of my own children in November 2023.  It still seems surreal when I allow myself to ponder.

We lost someone so special way too soon. He was always so goofy, always finding a way to make people laugh, and at the same time one of the kindest people you could ever meet. Our friend group is deeply sadden and you will always be remembered, It still doesn’t feel real that he’s gone, We’ll carry the laughter, the memories. Rest easy, friend you’ll never be forgotten ❤️

I am so grateful to have known Zakk for over a decade.  One of the first friends I made when I moved to Florida. We shared classes together all through middle and high school as well as being teammates during football season. I still remember the first time seeing him and how we became friends in 7th grade chorus class.  He came in with a 88 Dez Bryant jersey and threw up the X and I could not stop laughing about it for the rest of the class.  We would never actually sing and just talk about sports and make jokes the whole time.  He was easily one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. 

I’m gonna miss you like crazy Zakk!!! I won’t forget you.

I remember meeting Zakkary in the first grade. He was such a kind, bright soul. He made all those around him smile. Even if in the past few years we didn't see or talk to each other much, I am still heartbroken over his passing.
