OBITUARY

Alfred Albert Galinot Jr.

September 25, 1949 – July 4, 2026
Obituary of Alfred Albert Galinot Jr.
IN THE CARE OF

Frank Vogler & Sons

Alfred “Al” Albert Galinot, Jr. went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 4, 2026.

Al was born in New Haven, Connecticut on September 25, 1949, to the late Alfred Sr. and Beverly Galinot. He attended Husson College in Maine earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Al then earned his MBA from New Hampshire College. During his undergraduate, Al joined the TKE fraternity where he remained an active member serving on the fraternity’s board through 2026.

Al worked many jobs throughout the tech industry until he and business partner, and best friend, Larry Cohn, founded Streamline Systems. His career led him to hold numerous executive level positions with firms in the United States and Europe. Al’s hard work and dedication led to Streamline Systems’ success helping companies achieve their goals.

Al was a dedicated Christian and an active member of First Baptist Church of Welcome, NC. Leading by example, he showed Christ’s love to everyone he met. In his spare time, Al loved being outdoors. He looked forward to his trips to fly fish or hunt and never turned down a round of golf. In his quiet time, you could find Al watching documentaries, reading or studying history with his dog, Jack, at his feet.

To say that Al was a “people person” is a tremendous understatement; he never met a stranger. Whether a cab driver, fellow plane traveler or business acquaintance, Al was always interested in their story. His love of travel and meeting people enriched his life and those who were fortunate enough to meet him.

Al’s wide-ranging interest held a distant second place to his greatest love, his wife Cathy. “Totally devoted” fails to capture his complete love and attention to her. Always focused on her needs and desires, Al placed her above all else.

Al leaves behind his loving wife of 32 years, Cathy Cole Galinot; stepchildren, Jennifer Benton and David (Jennifer) Benton, Jr.; grandchildren, Bailey (Hans) Gui, Jonathan Ohman, Zachery (Ashleigh) Benton, Katie Benton, and Luke Benton; great grandchildren, Annabelle Benton, Zayn Benton, and Hannah Gui; sister, Lisa Kerrigan; nieces, Jessica Cole and Melissa Hearns; goddaughter, Hannah de Gruyter; in-laws, the Cole family; and numerous other loved ones and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society to help research pancreatic cancer.
