

Blanch Taylor Poole departed this earthly plane on Monday, August 4 at Salemtowne where she had been a resident since 2005. Blanch was born November 24, 1918, in Georgia but was a long-time resident of North Carolina since the early 1940’s.
Mrs. Poole was retired from Western Electric after 29 years. Many of those years were spent in the coil shops where she would wire the various electrical panels. In her last years, her supervisors recognized her expertise with panel schematics and relied on her to figure out the wiring schematics and document what was required, time, process, and materials to correctly wire the panels.
Mrs. Poole was an active member of the Gospel Mission Baptist Church in Tobaccoville, NC for many years prior to suffering a massive stroke in 2005. Her active participation declined over the years but she maintained a relationship with the church and the many members of her church family.
Mrs. Poole was preceded in death by her parents (Rosa and Frazier Taylor), husband (Ralph W. Poole), youngest son (Donald S. Poole), and her five siblings (Hattie Mae Miller), Annie (Dewey) Armour, Ruth (Parks) Brownlow, Hubert (Jean) Taylor, and James (Elizabeth) R. Taylor.
Mrs. Poole is survived by four of her children, Robert and wife, Glynda Poole, James and wife, Janet Poole, Ann Dufour, and Sandra Sink; fifteen grandchildren, Robert and wife, Debbie Poole, Jr., Terry and wife, Lisa Poole, Larry and wife, Loretta Poole, Sherry and husband, John Ivey, Wanda and husband, Matt Kinley, J. Edwin and wife, Debbie Poole, Jr., J. Cameron Poole, Jami and husband, Rodney Harden, Donald and wife, Yvonne Poole, Jr., Timothy and wife, Cindy Poole, Marcia and husband, Timothy Wilson, Missy and husband, Wilbert Garth, Kevin Dufour, Rod and wife, Kelly Sink, Robbin Tilley; twenty-six great-grandchildren, thirteen great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 2 PM, Friday, August 8th in the Chapel of Frank Vogler and Sons Reynolda Chapel, with Pastor Patick Norris officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park.
