

Buddie (Bud) C. Dorman, 82, of Clemmons, NC, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at his residence. Born on May 15, 1943, in Bellefonte, PA, he was the son of the late David Elwood Dorman and Dorothy J. Long.
Bud graduated from Bellefonte High School in PA where he played football and baseball. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served for 9 years in the nuclear submarine division and became an instructor for the nuclear power training unit. Following his enlistment, he worked at a nuclear power plant in Lynchburg, VA, where he achieved the rank of senior operator. Bud then joined the State College Police Department and retired after 20 years of service.
Bud loved to help people. He could fix anything and when he wasn’t working, he could be found in his garage working on cars. Bud was a quiet man who opened his heart by opening his garage door and welcoming any request brought to him. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Louise (Yebernetsky) Dorman; his son, David L. Dorman; and two brothers, Jack L. Dorman and Robert L. Dorman.
He is survived by his daughter, Patricia (Trisha) Alexander and husband Cary; six grandchildren, Josh, Nick, and Ian Dorman, and Nathan, AJ, and Lucas Alexander; brother, Richard Terry Dorman and wife Judy; and as well as many other family members and friends.
Per Bud's request, there will be no service.
