Few people in life leave us with a lasting impression like Mr C as my eighth grade teacher in 1961. As a fellow combat veteran ( Viet Nam ) I salute you for your military service and to a life well led with teaching and coaching our young men and women. My condolences to your family.

Mr. C Morton was the defensive back coach while I was playing FB
In the falls of 1967-1969. He was a patient , easy going, and great coach. I loved playing for him, and his brother, A Morton.
I was also blessed to have them both as fantastic classroom teachers, with different methods but great results! They were great motivators, role models, and mentors.
I also had the opportunity to coach both of Mr C Morton’s sons in Little League. They were wonderful, just like their Dad.

Blessings & Prayers for all,
Steve Pegram

I graduated in '72 from East and had Mr. C for Biblical history. I had Mr. A for biology. They were so different in the classroom and they both were outstanding teachers. I reconnected years later with Mr. C when I was his mail carrier. He was such a sweet man, so kind! My condolences to the family.

I had him for history 1970 . Really enjoyed the class . Very good teacher and a good man. He took time one class to share about his time in Korea. It was eye opening for me and made me appreciate him even more. Rest in peace Mr. Morton

To the Morton family...
I was in the 1965 class at East Forsyth. I was not one of the fortunate students to have C. Morton as a teacher. I know he was one of the favorites of so many friends . I did have Alan Morton for Biology ... who was also an outstanding teacher.
My sympathy to the family.
