Mrs. Cordie Mae Brown Bodenheimer

Reidsville-Mrs. Cordie Mae Brown Bodenheimer, 91, died Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Annie Penn Hospital. Graveside services will be at 11 AM, Wednesday, October 3, at Immanuel New Eden Moravian Church with Pastor Cheryl G. Cottingham officiating.

She was born in Forsyth County to the late Solomon Levi and Pearl Helen Swaim Brown. Cordie was married to Randell “Peck” Bodenheimer for 40 years before his death. She was a charter member of Immanuel New Eden Moravian Church and was a very active member before her health began to decline. Cordie was a homemaker and loving mother. She had a playful wit, loved to sing, loved to draw, and loved to feed people.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty (Roger) Jones of Reidsville; son, Jason (Dianne) Bodenheimer of Winston-Salem; sister, Ima Misenheimer of Winston-Salem; brothers, Bill Brown of CA; and Randall (Pat) Brown of Winston-Salem; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Judy DeLapp and Kathy Bodenheimer; sisters, her twin, Collice Cranford and Elizabeth Atwood; and brothers, Henry Brown and Raymond Brown.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be made to Immanuel New Eden Church, 3680 Old Lexington Road SE, Winston-Salem, NC 27107. The family would like to thank the staff of Annie Penn Nursing Center for their loving care of Miss Cordie over the past eight years.
