

Born May 8, 1963, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Wayne later made his home in Flowery Branch. He was known for his humor, love of having fun, and his talent for cooking excellent grilled meals. Wayne delighted in watching Seinfeld re-runs and had a deep love of travel, exploring destinations around the world including China, Brazil, India and Cuba. In Flowery Branch, he was often seen walking his beloved dog, JoJo, a familiar and friendly sight to neighbors and friends.
Wayne was a proud graduate of West Forsyth High School, Class of 1982, and Appalachian State University, Class of 1991.
He is survived by his mother, Nancy Setliff Minor of Decatur, Georgia, and his sister, Marti Minor Stanhope of Atlanta, Georgia, who will forever cherish his memory. He was predeceased by his father, David Samuel Minor.
Wayne will be remembered for the joy, laughter, and warmth he brought to everyone around him. His love of life, humor, and kindness left a lasting impression on his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A memorial service will be held on February 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Frank Vogler & Sons Funeral Home in Clemmons, North Carolina.
