Mrs. Doris Louise Willard Dull, 89, of Winston-Salem passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born May 3, 1927 in Forsyth County to Charles M. and Pearl Idol Willard.
Doris graduated from Gray High School and Salem College, in Winston-Salem. She was a school teacher in the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School System with 36 years of service. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church and served on the Salem Baptist School Board, as well as a member of the La Sertoma Club. Doris enjoyed gardening, decorating and was always interested in current events, however, her loving family was what she appreciated the most.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Dull and a sister, Sara W. Johnson.
Surviving are a sister, June W. Fogleman (Howard) of Elon, NC; a brother, Charles M. Willard (Pam) of Alexandria, Va.; a niece, Denise Lloyd (Max) and their children, Steele, Rachel and Wilson, all of Chapel Hill, NC; two nephews, David Wilson (Harriett) and their children, Hannah and Claire, all of Cary, NC and Robert Wilson and his children, Bobby Howard and Katie all of Myrtle Beach, SC.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm Monday, March 20th, 2017 at the Saal Center at Salemtowne with Chaplain Linda Brown officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. A private entombment will be held at Forsyth Memorial Park.
