

Mrs. Elinor J. Sherron June 5, 2011 Winston-Salem-- Mrs. Elinor J. Sherron, 90, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2011 while at The Elms at Tanglewood. She was born in Franklin, NY to Louis M. and Althea Saunders Wheeler. Mrs. Sherron was a member of DAR (Daughters of American Revolution). She enjoyed camping and fishing but found great joy in taking cruises and boating on Otisco Lake in NY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; and siblings, Fred and Walker Wheeler, Velma Goode, and Jean Schempf. Those left to cherish her memory include children, Mary James of Winston-Salem, NC, Barbara Myers of Winston-Salem, NC, William Dana of Lexington, NC, Susan Huff of Endicott, NY, Linda Dailey of Denver, CO, and David Dana of Marietta, NY; brothers, Richard Wheeler of Brewerton, NY and Edward Wheeler of Asheville, NC; 27 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and 14 great great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, 4:00 p.m., at Vogler and Sons Clemmons chapel. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. on the day of service.
